The 18th World University Futsal Championship is a single sports event organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). This competition is the first to be held in Asia and is the only world championship to be held in China in 2024. College Championship. A total of 21 teams participated in the competition, including 14 men's teams and 7 women's teams. The event is hosted by the International University Sports Federation and hosted by the China University Sports Association and Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology. According to the event arrangement, an overall ranking competition will be implemented. After the group stage, three rounds of knockout and qualifying will be conducted to determine the final ranking.

Since the first FISU World University Futsal Championship was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1984, futsal was known as "indoor football" or "futsal". Later, the women's event was included in the 12th Championship in Novi Sad, Serbia in 2010, and the 17th Championship in 2022 was held in Braga-Guimarães, Portugal.
